About Dr. Robin Yuan
Robin Tsu-Wang Yuan, son of the late Drs. Robert and Grace Yuan grew up in Boston and graduated with honors from Harvard College at 19. After earning an MD at Harvard, he did an internship and residency in general surgery at UCLA Medical Center and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Upon completing a plastic surgery residency in Miami, he returned to Beverly Hills in 1987 to open his private practice.
Robin has served as vice-chief of plastic surgery at Cedars Sinai and as an assistant clinical professor at UCLA Medical Center. He has held membership in numerous plastic surgery societies, was an early contributor to the Maliniac Circle supporting plastic surgery research, and founded a non-profit, Family of Independent Reconstructive Surgery Teams (FIRST), to provide plastic surgery in underserved countries. These missions have brought him to Honduras, the Philippines, China, Jamaica, Vietnam, and Nicaragua.
Robin is the current president of Phi Lambda Charitable Trust.
An avid tennis player, golfer, and classical violinist, he has written four books on mid-life, cosmetic surgery, and marriage. His most recent work of historical fiction, Red Bishop, is based on the life of his maternal grandfather, the last presiding bishop of the Anglican Church in China. Robin has a son, Ryan Christian, 27, and a daughter, Robyn Nicole, 24.
